Reports to: Director of Creative and Production Operations FLSA Status: Salary (Exempt) Hours per week: 40 hours, Full-time Campus: Melbourne Job Summary: This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication and marketing efforts to effectively promote the churchs mission, events, and initiatives. Calvary Chapel must be considered your home church with regular attendance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Create compelling graphics, promotional materials, wall art and social media content to engage the community through both digital and print platforms. Write appropriate material for various church announcements. Design and produce high-quality graphics for church events, sermon series, social media, website, newsletters, and print materials. (Proverbs 16:3) Team participation in managing the churchs social media presence by creating, scheduling, and monitoring engaging content across multiple platforms. Modify content on website as required. Collaborate with ministry leaders to promote church programs, events, and outreach efforts effectively. (Ephesians 4:3) Create and distribute email campaigns, newsletters, and other digital communication materials. Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels, maintaining a cohesive visual identity. (Galatians 6:9) Recruit, develop, and oversee teams of photographers, designers, videographers, writers, social media managers, and other creatives in using their gifts to serve the church (1 Peter 5:2-3) Capture and edit photos and videos for storytelling and promotional purposes. Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in church communications and digital marketing. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. (Colossians 3:23) Job Skills & Competencies: Ability to respond to changing deadlines is a must. Ability to learn all software utilized by the church for this position. A personal commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the churchs values and mission. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in marketing, graphic design, or digital communications, preferably within a church or nonprofit setting. Social perceptiveness being aware of diverse personalities and having Godly discernment to react and respond to situations as needed (Philippians 2:4) Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for digital and print content. Knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and engagement strategies. Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus. Basic video editing and photography skills are highly desirable. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, staff, and volunteers. (Ephesians 4:16)
