Join our team as a Machine Operator! Three shifts are available: 1st shift 7am to 3pm 2nd shift:3pm to 11pm 3rd shift: 11pm to 7am The Machine Operator is responsible for working on the manufacturing shop floor to ensure CNC machines are running at maximum efficiency. Position will run multiple parts following standard operating and quality procedures. Ability to create quality parts in a timely and safe manner. What You Will Do
Responsible for performing some CNC machining tasks such as milling, finishing and material handling. Operate CNC machine and equipment by loading and unloading material and finished parts. Transporting and coordinating jobs moving throughout the manufacturing process to other departments. Responsible for reading production paperwork, properly loading programs to the machines, tool changes and setting tools, and changing offsets in the machine if needed. Clean and maintain milling machines by emptying chip bins, cleaning out debris, replenishing coolant and maintaining accurate lubricant. Must have a basic understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part. Perform thorough part inspections and make appropriate decisions relative to part quality requirements. Ensure jobs are run in a timely manner to ensure on-time delivery. Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department. Follows all processes and procedures during the shift, escalates problem areas to shift team lead/supervisor as appropriate. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized production area consistent with Protolabs housekeeping standards. Responsible for working in a safe manner consistent with Protolabs policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. What It Takes
High School Diploma or equivalent 0
1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Some functional knowledge of CNC manufacturing or related experience and education Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM software. Ability to use measuring instruments such as protractors, calipers, height gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to manage time and prioritize work in an effective manner.
