Responsibilities
nMedical Assistant I provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN.
nMedical Assistant II/III provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. This position requires additional duties which include administration of injectables and or other high level skill performance.

nMA I - This is an entry-level role. No experience is required with Certification/Registration as a Medical

n1 year of directly related experience as a medical assistant with no Certification/Registration as a Medical
nAssistant.
nEmployees in role before November 24, 2024 will be grandfathered based on previous experience
nRequirement.
nMA II- 5 years of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with Certification/Registration as a Medical
nAssistant.
nOR
n6 years of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with no Certification/Registration as a Medical
nAssistant.
n*Dept Family Medicine may require 5 years of direct face to face customer service including cash handling or
ncollections experience within a medical office, healthcare setting or other service-related industry AND 3 years
nif directly related experience performing phlebotomy.

nMA III- 8 years of directly related experience as a Medical Assistant with Certification/Registration as a Medical
nAssistant
