a.kitchen + bar dc, located in a prime location adjacent to K Street businesses, George Washington University and Georgetown, seeks an events sales representative to connect with businesses, universities, non-profits to market our gorgeous dining room and event space. a.kitchen + bar is a restaurant that serves seasonal French inspired small plates. Our capabilities for large groups include full service seated breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as reception-style events as well. An outdoor patio is available for rental with the same offering. a.kitchen is located within Hotel AKA Washington Circle which can also be sold. Compensation will include a base salary plus commission. High Street Hospitality Group DC offers health insurance, 401K and other benefits based on eligibility.
The ideal candidate has hospitality experience in a restaurant environment either in service or management as well as have a strong understanding of the DMV market. Event and sales experience is also a must. They must be responsive, detail-oriented, articulate, and have strong follow through in their communication. Experience with event platforms like TripleSeat, Microsoft word, teams, toast, etc. The candidate must become familiar with all our food & beverage offerings as well as understand the dynamic of the daily business in order to determine minimums and negotiate pricing. The candidate must be able to work with the front of house team, hotel management and culinary team. The event sales representative should be on site for all major events and support the team in executing all details. Most importantly, they must have a vision for events and how to exceed guest expectations of their experience with us.
