Arm is seeking a System Control Processor Sub-System Architect to join our innovative SoC Architecture team. In this role, you will define and develop the architecture for the System Control Processor Sub-System, including a microcontroller (M-Class) and hardware accelerators focused on power and limits management.
You’ll work across teams to drive processor and memory sizing based on system workloads, define interconnect topologies (AHB, AXI, APB), and lead hardware/software algorithm partitioning. Your work will have a significant impact on Arm’s next-generation Solutions for client, infrastructure, automotive, and IoT markets.
Responsibilities:- Architect the System Control Processor Sub-System, including microcontrollers and hardware accelerators
- Define processor and memory sizing strategies based on workload analysis
- Architect local interconnects, address maps, access control, and memory management
- Lead HW/SW partitioning and define inter-processor communication interfaces
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and platform teams to deliver a cohesive architectural solution
- Apply knowledge of platform interfaces for PMIC and power control
- 12+ years in SoC and platform architecture and design across hardware and software
- 3+ years developing power and thermal management solutions
- Experience in power, thermal, and electrical limits management, DVFS, power gating, voltage regulation, and digital clocking
- Familiarity with standards such as PCSA, SCMI, ACPI, and BSA
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with experience resolving complex technical challenges
- Experience architecting ARM or x86-based systems at the SoC and platform level
- Background in automotive, IoT, infrastructure, or mobile SoCs
- Understanding of board-level power delivery and PMIC integration
- Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
