Position Overview

JMark is seeking a highly skilled and mission-focused Sensitive Activities Policy Staff Officer II to support the HUMINT & Sensitive Activities Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)) .
In this elite role, you won’t just follow policy—you’ll help write it. You’ll be entrusted with oversight of the Department of Defense’s most sensitive operations, guiding compliance, advising senior leadership, and shaping future capabilities across clandestine programs, cyber operations, special access initiatives, and interagency support missions.
From modernizing legacy programs to briefing senior decision-makers and Congress on high-impact initiatives, your contributions will be both strategic and historic. Key Responsibilities And Success Factors
✦ Oversight and Governance
- Assist leadership with oversight of DoD sensitive activities, including staff assistance visits, compliance inspections, and evaluations of support activities.
- Ensure program execution aligns with national defense priorities and classified directives.
- Draft and coordinate time-sensitive staff packages that enable DoD sensitive and support activities.
- Provide high-level recommendations that support the revision of DoD policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with modern operational needs.
- Develop and deliver briefings, talking points, and strategic positions for high-stakes meetings.
- Produce reports detailing sensitive activities and investments for Congress, DoD senior leadership, and Executive Branch officials.
- Lead transformation efforts directed by the Secretary of Defense to modernize the Sensitive Support Program, including:
- Support for intelligence and special operations
- Acquisition security and sensitive contracting
- Cross-agency collaboration with Non-Defense Federal Departments and Agencies (NDFDAs)
- Capabilities related to cyberspace operations and security infrastructure
- U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in oversight roles supporting DoD clandestine or sensitive activities
- Minimum 3 years of experience with special access programs (SAPs) and related security policy within the DoD or Intelligence Community
- Minimum 3 years of experience in policy development, program guidance, or mission integration within military or interagency staff settings
- Experience analyzing legislative language and briefing or interacting with Congressional committees on national security or defense-related issues
- Strong skills in analytical thinking, written communication, organizational planning, and high-level collaboration in classified, high-pressure environments
