Description:
- Supports defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific/engineering research, capability / limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis / characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments. Analysis and production include, but is not limited to, complex foreign electronic systems, subsystems, facilities and / or equipment and can emphasize one or more area(s) pertaining to electric power, microelectronics, electronic hardware, circuits, sensors, guidance and control, signals, electromagnetic, electro-optical (EO) / infrared (IR) and/ or similar areas associated with current and projected electronic systems and/ or subsystems. This includes, but not limited to, electrical engineering and sub-disciplines of computer, electronic, optical, and power engineering.
- Professional or academic course work related to the electric power industry, to include but not limited to power generation and distribution. Development and expansion of renewable and nuclear energy.
- Processes to maintain operations during normal periods, natural disasters, and emergencies resulting from kinetic and non-kinetic attacks.
- Work related experience, and/or similarly relevant academic experience at electric power facilities.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Research, analyze, and evaluate classified and open-source intelligence; identify intelligence gaps and submit collection requirements.
- Make detailed, all-source assessments and prepare quality intelligence products that adhere to IC analytic tradecraft standards on complex electric power facilities and networks.
- Assess foreign capabilities, deficiencies, and vulnerabilities of electric power facilities to ascertain how they impact military capabilities.
- Maintain, monitor and assure the quality of databases on facilities, installations, and networks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments of petroleum and national gas facilities.
- Collaborate with IC colleagues and foreign partners to produce analytic products utilizes all available resources and expertise.
- Improve reporting through elevating the quality of requirements submitted and effective collaboration within the IC.
- Experience in using the following tools:
- iSpy
- Message traffic tools
- MARS
- ArcPro
- Geospatial data holdings tools
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
Desired experiences:
- At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category, for a total of 12 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
