Job Title: NCIS Oracle Database Administrator Job Location: Quantico, VA (Hybrid on customer site 3 days and remote 2 days) Eligibility/Clearance: Top Secret Clearance required. TS/SCI Preferred. NCIS is an organization of over 2,200 personnel, with 700 serving at HQ and the remaining staff worldwide. NCIS is a Department of Navy (DON) component responsible for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counterterrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON and exclusive jurisdiction over non-combat criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will help ensure safety today and smarter solutions tomorrow. Our work depends on an Oracle Database Administrator joining our team to solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Create dynamic web pages using HTML, Oracle mod_plsql, Oracle webforms, and Oracle APEX. Maintain existing Oracle mod_plsql packages, webforms, and Oracle APEX. Create and maintain Oracle tables. Design and maintain Oracle packages. Patch and upgrade Oracle systems as required. Monitor Oracle environments. Create and maintain procedures to create, read, and delete critical data. Manage data migration, including planning, cleansing, transformation, and testing. Maintain analytical systems, verify data accuracy, and liaise with business units. Maintain security and integrity controls. Perform data analysis/testing to verify successful data migration from legacy databases to new Oracle 11g databases. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in database and data management. Oracle 18c or higher, including Oracle RAC. Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and query performance tuning skills. Strong front-end scripting experience, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, and JSON. Experience with Law Enforcement Data (a major plus). Experience with Linux-based systems hosting Oracle engines. Experience in fast-paced environments with proven engineering, development, deployment, and maintenance of business-critical systems. Ability to translate technical issues into understandable language for end users. Ability to establish and document standards for quality, performance, or productivity. Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE (Current DoD 8570 - IAT Level II). Education: Bachelor’s degree. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
