Sharp & Carter About The Organisation Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is a statutory authority under the Water Act 2000, supplying bulk water to major consumers in the Gladstone Region. It manages assets including water storage, pump stations, pipelines, tanks, and treatment plants, and supports recreational facilities and fish stocking programs. GAWB is committed to delivering safe, reliable water services that enhance regional liveability. About The Role The Network Operations Specialist – FGP will support the integration of the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline into GAWB's network, establishing operational systems and procedures. Post-commissioning, the role will liaise with contractors and internal teams to maintain standards, monitor asset performance, and support compliance and safety frameworks. About You You are an experienced operations or technical specialist in water supply or similar industries, adept with complex infrastructure, and skilled in optimizing high-value assets. Your collaborative approach and adaptability will be key to success as the project progresses. Qualifications & Experience Experience in water supply or similar process industries, focusing on operational management Leadership or coordination of technical teams, including contractors Knowledge of network operations, optimization, and maintenance Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Office 365) Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence Desirable: water supply engineering qualifications What’s on Offer This senior specialist role offers the chance to impact essential water services, with a values-driven organization emphasizing safety, innovation, and sustainability.
