Location: PARTIAL ONSITE > 2 DAYS/WEEK IN PASADENA, CALIFORNIA (91101) Must currently live within 40 miles of Pasadena, CALIFORNIA (no exceptions) MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 3-5 years of Enterprise level Java development experience Version Control > proficiency with systems such as Git Development tools > experience with tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Jenkins Databases > familiarity with SQL and NoSQL Testing > experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Agile and Waterfall methodology experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Certifications MUST have at least one of the following: Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Programmer Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) - not required Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) - not required Spring Professional Certification Responsibilities Write, debug, and maintain high-quality Java code Apply Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles to build scalable and maintainable software Design and develop Microservices-based applications Develop and manage batch processing systems Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Contribute to projects following the Waterfall methodology, as required Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Document code, processes, and procedures for future reference and maintenance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development practices Compensation The estimated pay range for this position is USD $60/hr. - $70/hr. and is an Exempt role.
