Key Responsibilities: -OpenShift / Kubernetes Administration Design and manage highly available OpenShift clusters (on-premises or cloud-managed) Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, StatefulSets, PVCs, NetworkPolicies, etc.) Implement role-based access control (RBAC), service accounts, and admission policies Monitor cluster health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Loki -JupyterHub / Jupyter Notebook Expertise Deploy, configure, and scale JupyterHub for multi-tenant use on Kubernetes/OpenShift Integrate JupyterHub with enterprise authentication (OAuth, SAML, LDAP) Manage persistent storage (PVCs) for notebook users with per-team or per-project isolation Support libraries, kernels, and runtime environments for data science users -Cloud & Platform Architecture Design hybrid/cloud-native architectures using RedHatOpenShift, Azure Architect storage strategies (e.g., CephFS, S3-compatible) for notebooks and datasets Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions,AzureDevops) for deploying platform updates Implement backup, DR, and compliance frameworks for data science workloads -Security & Governance Ensure platform-level security via OpenShift SCCs, secrets management, and encryption Define and enforce data access boundaries and secure multi-tenancy practices Audit and monitor activity with integration into SIEM or audit platforms
Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture roles 5+ years hands-on with OpenShift or Kubernetes in production environments Strong experience administering JupyterHub or Kubeflow Notebooks Proficient with YAML, Helm, and Operator-based deployments Experience with cloud platforms ( Azure, or RedHat OpenShift) Familiarity with storage integration (NFS, Ceph, S3) and dynamic volume provisioning Solid understanding of RBAC, IAM, and secure networking (TLS, ingress/egress rules)
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge to have with Data Science workflows and user personas Knowledge of Apache Airflow, Iceberg, or Spark on Kubernetes Familiarity with Open Data Hub, Kubeflow, or Red Hat AI/ML tooling Certifications: CKA, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, or equivalent
Soft Skills: Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and align teams on architectural decisions Problem-solving mindset with a focus on platform reliability and scalability
