Do you like to use network and Unix systems engineering to deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions? Would you like to play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks? AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access for our customers. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented individuals to help. Youll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Youll collaborate across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing vast capacity at low costs, fostering an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas. Key Responsibilities
Create and implement network changes. Collaborate with automation teams to define scalable tools. Lead projects related to network engineering, deployment, scaling, and optimization. Sustain AWS networks for major customers by diagnosing, mitigating, and resolving large-scale events. Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, and configurations, including Unix systems and networking software. Support innovation across network layers. Partner with network and infrastructure teams on standards and tools. Work with engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and support of network products. Maintain standards and ensure compliance. Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions. Collaborate with escalation engineers and create documentation. A day in the life
Work in a 24x7 on-call rotation, responding to critical events. Manage customer issues efficiently under pressure. Maintain high alertness during scheduled hours. Travel to data centers and offices as needed. About The Team
The ARC team handles availability, routing, and compliance for datacenter networks, ensuring security and performance. AWS NFE manages datacenter network services supporting AWS offerings and newer services like Outposts and Local Zones. Working at AWS

4+ years in a hands-on network role with IP routing in large-scale environments. 4+ years developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms for networks. 4+ years responding to customer-impacting events in a technical on-call role. 1+ years scripting in Bash, shell, Perl, or Python. Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, security, and core network technologies. Experience with vendor platforms like Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5, Palo Alto, etc. Knowledge of networking and systems technologies and hardware architectures. Scripting skills or desire to learn Python, Perl, Shell.
