Overview
Your role: As Pack Operator you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the pack equipment, including flour scheduling, shipping and receiving, inventory control, maintenance and sanitation. The pack operator works with the scheduler to coordinate packing and shipping dates of scheduled orders as well as to communicate flour needs for packing. The pack operator also works with the production supervisor in the inventorying and ordering of packaging materials and the maintenance manager to discuss on preventative and reactive maintenance issues as well as material requests and scheduling repair days. Your responsibilities: Operate packer and palletizer equipment. Load/unload trucks. Maintain daily inventories. Update flour schedule status. Prepare daily production report. Prepare COA's for load orders. Warehouse sanitation. Flour testing. Preventative maintenance. All other tasks necessary assigned by supervisor. Essential skills and experience: High School diploma or equivalent preferred Good communication skills, both verbal and written Effectively use computer applications Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Prior experience with packaging equipment Line set up Trouble shooting Quality control (sampling, testing) Good to have: Mechanical Aptitude Prior experience with manufacturing equipment Experience operating mobile equipment including forklift, yard tractor, bobcat or Track Mobile; will train, as needed. Inventory control Sanitation experience May be required to pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation with the ability to: Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach or lift at shoulder level, above shoulder level, and below shoulder level. Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders. Occasionally lift/shovel/carry up to 55 pounds. Occasionally push up to 200 pounds of force. Occasionally pull/torque up to 210 pounds of force. Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
