Accounts Receivable Clerk Edwardsville, KS (Onsite) 6-Month (Contract to Hire) Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Fri 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
Responsibilities: Posts customer payments into SAP using various payment methods, including checks, cash, EFT, online bill pay, and payments from drivers. Researches and reconciles discrepancies, credits, and returned payments (NSFs) in customer accounts. Maintains an account portfolio of approximately 1,000 active customers, ensuring accuracy of terms, contact information, and documentation. Performs collection activities in accordance with SOPs and escalates unresolved issues to the supervisor as needed. Distributes monthly account statements and ensures accurate, timely follow-up on outstanding balances. Coordinates with Sales, Delivery, and other departments to address disputes, delivery/payment issues, and maintain real-time account status. Updates SAP with detailed account notes, courtesy call records, and documented communications. Responds to customer inquiries promptly and professionally via phone or email. Ensures compliance with Nevada credit laws and internal procedures. Accurately handles high volumes of calls and transactions while meeting deadlines. Resolves problems using a positive, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills. Maintains consistent attendance and reliability; works independently without daily supervision. Demonstrates multitasking ability and time management in a high-volume environment. Completes 10-key testing and maintains accuracy for numeric data entry tasks. Upholds customer service standards and builds strong internal and external working relationships.
Requirements: SAP experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 10-key data entry test Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be dependable and punctual
