Overview
Are you excited about diving deep into code and solving complex software challenges? Do you thrive on building innovative solutions that enhance business efficiency and drive success? Does it get you fired up to see your work come to life in real-world applications?
If this sounds like you, Torq is the place to be! We're seeking talented software engineers with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the broader Power Platform ecosystem who are ready to make a significant impact on our clients' businesses. Our team tackles challenging projects daily, including complex system integrations, data workflows, and enterprise solutions, addressing our clients' toughest problems, and we need passionate developers to join us.
In this role, you won't just be writing code: You'll design, build, and ship solutions across Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Power Platform, and Azure. This is a full-stack, full-lifecycle role: discovery through delivery, with hands-on engineering and client-facing consulting.
What You Could Be Doing
While every project we work on is different, below is a high-level overview of some of the responsibilities / hats you may wear:
- Partner with stakeholders in sales, marketing product, and operations to translate business needs into technical requirements and roadmaps
- Design and build solutions with Dynamics 365 , Power Apps/Power Automate/Dataverse , and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps) to connect and automate core processes
- Integrate D365 with external systems and services; enable reliable, secure data exchange and event-driven workflows
- Write clean, testable code and uphold engineering standards (code reviews, automated tests, CI/CD)
- Develop features that drive measurable business outcomes, with intuitive UIs and solid UX
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, including executives
- Work cross-functionally with IT and digital teams to deliver scalable, supportable solutions
When you join our team, you're a consultant first. This means there are core skills we expect out of each of our team members. These include:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ideally 6+ years of experience in Consulting, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (2 days in office per week)
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 , customization, configuration, and integration
- Comfortable configuring Dynamics 365 (creating new fields/tables, forms, views, BPFs, security roles), writing SQL for integrations/reporting/migrations, and building standalone services (e.g., Azure Functions/microservices) that integrate D365/Dataverse with other systems
- Experience across the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps)
- Strong software fundamentals and experience with one or more: .Net , JavaScript/TypeScript , Python (for custom connectors, services, and backend logic)
- Ability to analyze business problems, identify gaps/opportunities, and propose actionable solutions
- Confident communicator - requirements, recommendations, and progress - via docs, demos, and presentations
- Comfortable operating amid ambiguity and aligning diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile environments **This role goes far beyond low-code Power Apps. We're looking for engineers who can design and implement enterprise-grade solutions across multiple systems and platforms**
- Modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular)
- Back-end frameworks (.Net, Node.js, Java, Python)
- Enterprise Integration Patterns (message queues, service buses) and cloud design patterns
- RESTful API - design and security at scale
- Containers and orchestration
- Automated testing
- DevOps/CI/CD
- AI-assisted development tools (Agentic assistants, test generation, code review) and a habit of improving engineering workflows
