Contract/Contract to hire About the Role: We are seeking a technically capable and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and a focus on systems implementations. This role will be key in defining and documenting requirements to connect our HawkSoft agency management system to various applications including RingCentral, OnBase, and various web portals. Youll collaborate with business users, IT, and vendor teams to drive integration that supports efficient policy workflows, document handling, and a unified user experience across systems. Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document integration requirements for HawkSoft (AMS). Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data exchange needs, workflows, and system touchpoints. Create detailed requirements documents, interface specifications, data mappings, and user stories. Translate business processes into technical integration requirements using diagrams and flowcharts. Participate in solution design discussions and ensure alignment between business goals and system capabilities. Support QA and UAT efforts with test planning, data validation, and troubleshooting. Act as a liaison between internal teams and third-party vendors throughout the integration lifecycle. Create and maintain documentation for integrations and user documentation. Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty insurance industry. Hands-on experience with AMS software preferably with Hawksoft, with a clear understanding of workflows and data structure. Solid understanding of policy lifecycle processes including quoting, issuance, endorsements, and renewals. Experience defining business and functional requirements for system integration projects. Ability to create technical artifacts like data flow diagrams, process maps, field-level data mappings, and user documentation. Soft skills easy to manage, positive attitude, self-starter, communication Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with a Policy Administration system. Experience integrating agency management systems with PAS and DMS platforms. Knowledge of APIs, data transformation, or middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi). Understanding of compliance and data governance in the insurance domain. Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and basic SQL.
