Responsibilities
Ascension Saint Agnes looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Oncology team!
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients. The right candidate will have post-graduate oncology experience or previous oncology experience as a nurse.
Position Highlights:
Opportunity for autonomous practice within a supportive environment Collaborative and respectful working relationship between nurse practitioners and physicians Access to a team of highly experienced nurse practitioners for mentorship and support Exposure to various cancer types with the option to tailor patient cases based on specific expertise
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare
services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, perform and interprets diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education:
Master's degree of Nursing required.
