Essential Duties
Henrico County's Human Resources Department is seeking an HR Analyst who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at communicating with clarity and confidence. As part of our Employee Relations Division, you can have a significant impact on our organization by handling complex and sensitive investigations for a diverse workforce. This position requires a blend of high-level investigative skills, efficient work prioritization, and sound judgment to produce timely, quality reports. A high level overview of duties includes:
Performing high level, complex and sensitive investigations; Must be able to prioritize work and efficiently, use good judgment to determine facts and produce a quality report in a timely manner. Provide guidance and assist departments in conducting investigations. Provide support to supervisors and agency heads in the areas of performance management and the discipline process. Testify in grievances; and scheduling, organizing and providing information for grievance hearings. The selected candidate should be able to interface and interact with all departments, including our Public Safety partners, with confidence and ease. Other potential duties include managing and tracking military leave; updating and tracking required posters; tracking, reconciling and analyzing statistical data; scanning documents; organizing files; responding to Virginia Employment Commission requests for information in a timely manner and participating in fact-finding hearings; managing light duty requests; performing related work as required. Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment in when and how to effectively communicate clear and concise information to upper management/administration, stake holders and partners.
Extensive knowledge of HR principles and practices, particularly in employee relations; strong ability to present recommendations clearly both orally and in writing; skilled in building effective relationships with County officials, employees, and the public; adept at conducting interviews, maintaining statistical records, and generating reports; proficient with computers and data systems; and demonstrates tact and courtesy.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree, preferably in personnel or human resources administration, public administration or a related field, and five (5) years of professional human resources work experience in employee relations and/or investigations; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The expected hiring range will not exceed $88,987 and will be commensurate with experience.
This position may be under-filled at the Human Resources Analyst I, II, or III level depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate and the needs of the organization at the time of hire.
