Location: Bogalusa, LA, Family Medicine Department, LSU Health Sciences Center
Position Summary: Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) Rural Family Medicine Residency program in Bogalusa, LA seeks a board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) family medicine physician for faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). The ideal candidate will have previous academic experience, though it is not required.
Practice Highlights:
- Primary responsibilities include precepting the LSUHSC Rural Family Medicine Residency program, currently expanding from 18-21 residents.
- Academic faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track); rank to be commensurate with physician’s credentials and experience.
- Position includes an outpatient-only option or a traditional inpatient/outpatient practice.
- Inpatient responsibilities at Our Lady of Angels Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Required Education: MD or equivalent.
- Certifications/Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent); Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before hire.

- Preferred Experience: Previous academic experience.
