Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of New York) one of the country's top fertility centers, is looking for an experienced OR Surgical Tech as well as a recovery room assistant as to work in our Mount Kisco office. The Surgical Tech's responsibilities include:Preparing and maintaining a sterile field with the required instruments and supplies to complete a designated surgical procedure efficiently and cost-effectively.Prepare, setup, and scrub for routine and urgent surgical procedures and prepare patients for surgeryObserving vital signs and other related functions on an as needed basisResponsible for the proper maintenance of the procedure rooms and ordering of supplies.Recovery Room Assistant responsibilities as needed include:Monitoring patient flowEscorting patients for procedure Preparing recovery rooms between patients Qualifications include:A Surgical Technician Certification is preferred; Medical Assistant Certification is allowed. National Operating Room Technician Certification (CORT) is preferred. A current BLS/ACLS Certification is optional. At least one year experience in acute care operating room or assisting in procedures as a Surgical Tech is required.Open to non-certified medical professionalsMust be detailed oriented, able to work independently as well as part of a team, smart, outgoing, organized and enjoy working with people. Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required.
