Our client in the oil and gas industry seeks an Operations Engineer to support refinery operations, troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and ensure safety standards such as Process Safety Management (PSM). The role involves working closely with operations management to maintain efficient, safe, and reliable refinery operations, ideal for engineers looking to expand their skills across multiple units. Responsibilities
Support daily refinery operations to meet production goals Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve issues Monitor and optimize refinery processes for safety and efficiency Ensure compliance with EPA and ASTM standards Assist in developing work scopes for turnarounds and maintenance Create and update operating procedures and manuals Provide on-call support one weekend per month Participate in safety initiatives, including incident investigations Develop and track KPIs for environmental and operational performance Assist with performance testing and continuous improvements Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of operations or process engineering experience 3+ years of refinery or chemical plant operations experience Process troubleshooting and optimization skills Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) Additional Information
