We are excited to invite a new Outbound Operations Manager to become a vital part of our expanding Outbound Team and Fulfillment Center network. This role reports to our Assistant General Manager. Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: 335,000 sq ft. in Dayton, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all outbound operations, including picking and packing processes.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels for picking and packing teams to achieve daily operational targets.
- Manage work performance metrics for the outbound leadership team to consistently meet productivity standards and KPIs.
- Identify and support initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service, accuracy, and productivity while minimizing operating costs.
- Analyze processes to determine root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with management to align objectives, troubleshoot challenges, share operational updates, and develop new procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews and monthly check-ins with outbound leadership to foster a positive working relationship and provide constructive feedback.
- Address performance-related incidents and recommend actions for disciplinary or personnel concerns.
- Coach and mentor team leads and associates to cultivate a strong culture of employee engagement.
- Participate in HR Leadership meetings.
- Promote a safe work environment and develop a culture of safety among employees.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in outbound leadership.
- Knowledge of distribution flow, integration, and automation.
- Fundamental understanding of inventory, supply chain, and logistics concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong critical thinking skills with an ability to understand broader implications and predict potential issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including public speaking.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling various items.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-50 lbs., seeking assistance for anything over 50 lbs.
- Competency in operating necessary equipment safely.
- Ability to push and pull objects requiring up to 60 pounds of force independently, using appropriate equipment when exceeding that limit.
