PCB DESIGNER (AVIONICS) Apply your skills and expertise as a PCB Designer in challenging projects and contribute to the innovative growth of SpaceX. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to produce printed circuit board designs essential for launch, flight, and landing of SpaceX craft. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing schematics for test breakout boards and interfaces, performing PCB design, and coordinating fabrication and assembly. Responsibilities
Create and review schematics for compilation requirements and assist engineers in hierarchical design capture. Design printed circuit boards supporting launch vehicles and spacecraft for the avionics team. Work with design engineers to implement high-speed mixed signal designs following established standards and guidelines. Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure designs meet DFM guidelines. Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with 2+ years of PCB design experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree. Preferred Skills and Experience
IPC CID, CID+ certification. Proficiency in high-density/high-speed design, signal integrity, low noise design, EMI/EMC minimization, RF, and split analog/digital designs. Experience designing for thermal management and high-vibration environments. Knowledge of design for manufacturability, assembly, and testability. Familiarity with ECAD libraries, MIL-STD and commercial components, Altium Designer, Mentor Xpedition, scripting in Altium, C#/.NET, and Valor NPI. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements
