What you will do This is a portfolio management role within the Securitized Products team at PGIM Fixed Income. We are looking for a seasoned Private Asset-based Finance (“ABF”) Portfolio Manager to help our team expand our existing private securitized credit franchise. The incumbent will be a key member of the team responsible for originating and recommending investments that are typically privately sourced across a range of asset classes such as consumer, commercial, corporate, real estate, and fund finance.PGIM Fixed Income strongly believes the integration of public and private securitized markets is critical to finding the best relative value for our client.Thus, the incumbent will be fully integrated to our existing team of research analysts and portfolio managers. This role will report to the Head of ABF within the Securitized Products group. What you can expect Work closely with the Securitized Products research team to assess collateral risks and underwrite potential investments including modeling, structuring, and transaction management.
Present investment thesis and positioning to clients and internal stakeholders.
Participate in the firm's marketing and fundraising efforts as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with issuers, banks, funds, sponsors and other buy side participants.
Influence the buildout of new technologies to facilitate portfolio management and underwriting processes – including systems from third party vendors.
This is a hybrid role based in Newark, NJ with a requirement to be in the office from Tuesday to Thursday.
What you will bring 12+ years of Private ABF portfolio management and direct origination experience
Proven track record of privately originated investments
Proven track record of managing people and processes.
Experience across consumer, commercial, corporate and fund finance
Deep network of relationships with issuers, banks, sponsors and funds
Experience in managing forward flow agreements and establishing such arrangements
Ability to distill and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to a variety of decision makers and audiences
Ability to work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast paced, high intensity environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
BA/BS degree required(MBA, MS and/or CFA are pluses)
What will set you apart? Significant private ABF experience in sourcing transactions and establishing relationships with issuers, sponsors, banks and other intermediaries
Experience with structuring private transactions across the US and Europe
Track record of underwriting complex private debt transactions across market cycles in a variety of structures
Ability to think creatively and help solve unique challenges that come from investing across different investor types (pension, insurance, sovereign wealth, etc.).

The annual base salary range for this role is from $200,000 to $225,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
