Position Title: Sr. Software Engineer Location: Sunnyvale or Mountain View, CA (Hybrid 2-3 days) Duration: 12 Months Contract Notes from HM: Sr. Software Engineer responsible for managing and tracking work items using JIRA, diagnosing issues, and handling lead failures Full stack development including Java, Python, React, SQL, Hadoop, Kafka, Kubernetes Experience with data-related technologies and ETL processes. Experience with large data sets and data streaming services . Summary: We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and operate mission critical services and applications that are used customers and employees worldwide. Responsibilities: * Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions * Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed meeting client's standards for quality software engineering * Design and ship high volume of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability and testability issues. * Maintain understanding of latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services. * Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services * Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers * Contribute towards the definition of product and technical roadmaps Basic Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field * 6+ years of software engineering experience * Proven track record of developing large-scale highly available services and systems in Java primarily * Working experience of build systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures (SQL) Preferred Qualifications: * Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC) * Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals * Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems * Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal * Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies * Experience developing mobile applications a bonus Suggested Skills: * Developer * Communication * Collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr
