PRN Patient Care Specialist
Sentara Urgent Care Harrisonburg is now hiring a PRN Patient Care Specialist in Harrisonburg, VA! Schedule: Clinic hours - 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm. Scheduled hours and shifts may vary based on business need and candidates' availability. As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Health, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. In this role, you will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. Education: HS - High School Grad or Equivalent Experience: Three (3) years Clerical, Customer Service experience required. One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third-Party Payers required. An Associate's level degree in lieu of the required experience will be considered. Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.
