If your answer is yest, then keep reading and join us!Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier 1 supplier of Acoustic and Thermal Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a strong and motivated individual to fill the position of Line Leader - 2nd shift (5PM-5AM Monday-Thursday) at the Manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan, located 30 miles north of Detroit.The Line Leader - 2nd shift (5PM-5AM) is a hands-on team member of the production line and assists with management and maintenance of his/her designated section of the business as related to customer product line or internal manufacturing processes. Knowledgeable of all functions from raw materials to finished goods, to include equipment and machinery, quality, safety, process, costs, and inventory.Responsibilities of the Line Leader - 2nd shift (5PM-5AM):Drives daily throughput of product manufactured by area of responsibility. Aware of inventory produced by area of responsibility as to maintain adequate stock on hand (safety stock) and that all finished goods meet customer requirements in quality, quantity, and proper packaging and labeling. Works closely with production force, providing guidance and needed materials. Performs hourly checks on work cells to ensure that quality and production goals are achieved. Prepares and reports shift and daily production totals. Knowledge of all functions from raw materials to finished goods, to include equipment and machinery. Responsible for proper use and care of equipment, requesting repair or replacement when necessary.Organizing and providing training to employees for their work assignments. Assists in solving problems to employees on the floor while working.Required to work overtime when necessary.This section is not inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Requirements for the Line Leader - 2nd shift (5PM-5AM):Minimum of 2 years of experience in injection molding, plastics, or extrusion. Minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Associates degree related to an area of study within manufacturing is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Line Leader for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Ability to coach, lead, problem-solve and communicate well in a changing environment to build a strong team and meet customer needs.Willingness to work shifts on continuous seven-day work cycle.
