Compensation: $160,000 $180,000/year
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Join our client s orthopedic team in Boston, MA as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, delivering specialized care to patients with musculoskeletal injuries and chronic conditions. In this full-time, on-site role, you ll lead evaluations, assist with diagnostics, and perform orthopedic procedures in collaboration with physicians. Use your expertise in eClinicalWorks (EHR) and orthopedic care to improve outcomes and maintain high standards of compliance and efficiency.
Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:
- Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis: Perform initial and follow-up patient assessments, including comprehensive medical history reviews and physical examinations.
- Diagnostic & Treatment Planning: Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans for orthopedic conditions.
- Therapeutic Procedures: Administer trigger point injections, prescribe medications, and conduct procedures within scope of licensure.
- Documentation & Record Management: Accurately document patient interactions, diagnoses, and billing codes using eClinicalWorks (EHR).
- Collaborative Care: Coordinate with supervising physicians and communicate with legal and medical stakeholders to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Clinical Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and maintain a safe, compliant, and patient-centered environment.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted Massachusetts NP or PA license required.
- Certification: National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) is required, and BLS certification is preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years of clinical experience in orthopedics, pain management, or a related specialty.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with eClinicalWorks (EHR) and capable of documenting care accurately and efficiently.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to care and the ability to communicate effectively across clinical and legal teams.
- Language Requirement: Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
