The nurse will work 3x12 hour shifts during the night. A flexible schedule may be accommodated for 4x12 hour shifts if preferred. The nurse will work every other weekend. Candidates should possess required certifications including BLS and NIH, while ACLS is preferred. Nurses must have experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, and cardiac monitoring. They will be responsible for interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them. The role includes caring for ventilated patients and requires knowledge of chest tubes. Management of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration is a requirement. Nurses will care for patients with various conditions including post MI and pre/post cardiac surgery. Experience with cranial procedures and trauma cases is essential. The nursing staff will provide care in a fast-paced environment with an average patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates must be open to floating within the hospital as needed. The work setting involves collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. The hospital is a designated acute care facility. Nurses will adhere to infection control and wound care protocols. Candidates should have strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
