Job Title: Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Facility: Maria Parham Health Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Position Summary: Maria Parham Health is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit for night shifts. The PCU RN provides intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions
* Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
* Perform detailed assessments and respond to changes in patient status
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
* Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and recovery processes
* Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
* Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
* Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
* Minimum of 2 years recent experience in PCU, Telemetry, or ICU settings
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications
* Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills
* Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently
Schedule:
* Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
