$90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Applications Manager We are seeking an experienced
Applications Manager
to lead the strategic direction, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise applications. This role will ensure all business applications align with organizational goals, deliver optimal performance, and provide seamless end-user experiences. Key Responsibilities Oversee application lifecycle to ensure alignment with business needs and user requirements. Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing applications; recommend and implement improvements. Develop and promote best practices for application use across the organization. Research and recommend software solutions to support operational and development initiatives. Evaluate, configure, and deploy new applications and system enhancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the testing and implementation of new applications. Review technical specifications and documentation to ensure intended application functionality. Ensure new software integrations meet system compliance, functionality, and interface standards. Design and implement application upgrades and feature enhancements. Lead feasibility studies and provide recommendations on potential software investments. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with software and service providers. Coordinate with network administrators and engineers to support quality assurance and data processes. Maintain an inventory of software assets and related contracts. Create and deliver user training, documentation, and support materials. Gather and incorporate user feedback through structured reviews. Provide leadership and support to the applications team, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor team members to support professional growth. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years of direct experience in applications or systems management. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role. Proven success in software solution development, direction, and implementation. Hands-on experience with automated application management tools. Familiarity with core banking or financial systems such as FIS, Fiserv, Finastra, Temenos, or Jack Henry is a plus. Solid understanding of system/software QA methodologies. Working knowledge of PC/network operating systems and protocols. Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Effective project management and organizational abilities. Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and end users. Analytical mindset with high attention to detail. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, team-based settings. Seniority level
