CHRISTUS Children's, a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children's. BCM is currently associated with multiple educational, healthcare, and research affiliates. Summary
Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a faculty member to fill a PRN position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology. Physicians in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition treat children suffering from a wide range of intestinal, liver, pancreatic and nutritional disorders and will also provide out-patient clinical care, in- patient coverage and in-patient consultation at CHofSA. Job Duties
Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders. Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and nutritional disorders. General pediatric gastrointestinal procedures (e.g., upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures). Minimum Qualifications
M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree, or equivalent Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent) Licensed by the Texas Medical Board Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine (or eligible for same) Baylor College of Medicine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Equal Access Employer.
