Manages the daily activities of configuration and operations of business systems that may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business system. Expert knowledge and experience in current Windows client server to include OS configuration, file sharing, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. Experience with administration of various Linux operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu). Experience granting permissions, group policy, responding to trouble tickets. Optimize system operations and resource utilization. Coordinate, deliver, install, and maintain end user devices (EUDs) hardware and software. Implement ongoing system security compliance measures to include patches and system updates. Knowledge and demonstrated experience and its implementation using VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) and Horizon View (VDI Desktops). Expert knowledge and experience managing NetApp (NFS, CFIS) and Dell EqualLogic (ISCSI). Recent System Administration experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Practical experience in implementing and maintaining virtualization (VDI Desktops). Skills with Telecommunication (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX), NetApp-VMWare, database/DBMD (oracle, access, sybase) and applications (Tivolli, Peoplesoft). Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA). Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DD 8570) requirement for this position: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED. High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience. AD (+10) years of relevant experience. BA/BD (+6) years of relevant experience. Master's degree (+4) years of relevant experience, or PHD (+2) years of relevant experience. The likely salary range for this position is $139,984 - $186,101. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
