Duties:
- Deliver personal care to patients, assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
- Administer medications as instructed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA).
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Ability to prepare simple meals and perform light housekeeping as needed.
- Completion of the New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Demonstrated proficiency in literacy and basic arithmetic.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
