nPosition Overview
nAs a Pest Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in protecting residential and commercial properties from pests, ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of our customers. This role requires knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles, compliance with California pest control regulations, and excellent customer service skills.
nKey Responsibilities
nService Delivery
nDrive to various locations across different cities and counties to perform pest control services for residential and possibly commercial properties.
nConduct inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and entry points.
nImplement effective pest control solutions, including treatments, traps, and exclusion methods, in alignment with IPM standards.
nApply chemical and non-chemical pest control measures safely and in compliance with California laws and label instructions.
nBe available on-call to assist with additional service requests or urgent issues if the assigned route is completed in less than 8 hours.
nUse and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized pest control equipment (e.g., sprayers, bait stations, vacuums, drills) safely and effectively.
nVehicle & Equipment Maintenance
nEnsure the company vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and safe for daily use.
nRegularly inspect, clean, and maintain pest control equipment to ensure it is functional and safe.
nReport any mechanical or equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
nCustomer Relations
nCommunicate treatment plans, findings, and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally.
nProvide education on prevention methods and answer customer questions regarding services and safety.
nCompliance & Safety
nFollow all state and federal regulations, including those outlined by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
nMaintain proper use and storage of pesticides, tools, and equipment.
nAdhere to safety protocols to protect yourself, clients, and the environment.
nDocumentation & Reporting
nComplete detailed service reports, including product usage, inspection findings, services performed and recommendations
nMaintain accurate records as required by California law.
nTeam Collaboration
nWork with other team members and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
nAttend training and certification sessions to stay updated on industry best practices.
nQualifications
nEducation & Certification:
nHigh school diploma or equivalent (required).
nPossession of a Branch 2 Field Rep License clear of any citations
nWill accept a Branch 2 Applicator with the condition of getting FR license in first 90 days
nExperience:
nPrior experience in pest control, current Field Rep (preferred).
nKnowledge of IPM principles and pest prevention techniques (preferred).
nRodent service experience a must
nPrevious sales experience a plus
nExclusion experience a plus
nSkills:
nStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
nStrong sales & excellent customer service skills
nProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in pest control.
nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively while running route based services
nAbility to create diagrams and graphs that effectively document pest locations and treatment needs.
nPhysical & Travel Requirements:
nAbility to lift up to 50lbs and work in various environments, including tight spaces such as attics and crawl spaces / sub areas.
nWillingness & ability to drive, walk, sit, stand, bend, crawl, lift, and carry for extended periods of time.
nAbility to work in all types of weather conditions.
nMust possess a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
nComfortable driving daily to multiple locations across different cities and counties.
