Command Center Operator . In this position, you will respond and assist security personnel in reporting emergency and non-emergency events from our State of the Art Security Command Center. You will be responsible for monitoring multiple security systems to aid in the safety and security of all team members, guests, visitors and properties. In addition, you will be required to detect unfavorable situations, dispatch security officers, and make proper notifications to the appropriate level of management.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Perform operator duties supporting a 24/7 Security Operations Center
Identify, develop, implement, and maintain company security processes and asset protection standards across all business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas
Monitor and operate security systems to include intrusion detection, fire alarm, access control, environmental alarms, Zerofox, Singlewire and CCTV systems
Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations
Monitor social media websites to protect the company brand
Conduct investigations on a variety of incidents
Actively learn and become proficient at responding to all emergency events. (Medical Emergencies, Severe Weather, Fire Events, Suspicious Persons/Vehicle and Suspicious Packages)
Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency situations
Monitor all radio traffic and dispatch Security Officers as needed
Manage extensive inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
Print all badge related requests
Perform various duties for our new hire process
Follow our Service Now Ticket process and complete ticket requests.
Complete Daily Activity Logs on the security network drive to document activities that occur during each shift
Provide excellent customer service when dealing with team members, guests, visitors and contractors
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Must Have Qualifications:
Prior Security Command Center experience
Associate's degree in related field
Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to manage emergency situations while handling normal command center functions.
Ability to prioritize decisions based upon multiple criteria and identifiable standards of policies and procedures.
Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and software ie: email, databases, spreadsheets, and Web-based applications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Linkedin etc.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to company information
Strong writing skills and an ability to project a professional and consistent demeanor
Capacity to recognize and report suspicious behavior and activity in and around company property
Proficient in effective oral and written communication with team members, vendors, and the public - to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner, and to write and investigate required reports
Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Capable of working varying shifts, weekends and holidays to support 24/7/365 coverage as necessary
Meet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle
No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years
No at fault accidents in the past 5 years
Have not had driver's license denied, suspended or revoked in the last 3 years
No driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) convictions in the past 5 years
Successfully pass a Drug Screening test
Ability to work in various environmental conditions to perform common security functions and duties
Nice to Have Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Prior Law Enforcement, Military or Security experience
Security Intelligence experience
Previous emergency dispatch experience
