This is a faculty position at Womack Army Medical Center in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic, Fort Bragg, NC. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Responsibilities
As a Family Practice Physician, you will: Duties
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and instruction to medical residents and students in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. Function as an attending physician, examine patients, determine the need for and order laboratory tests, x-rays, and other procedures necessary for diagnosis, and serve as a mentor to residents. Make presumptive diagnoses of serious or uncommon conditions and seek advice from appropriate consultants. Supervise medical students, physician assistant students, and nurse practitioner students assigned to the Primary Care Services Division, Family Medicine Residency Clinic. Participate in organized clinical discussions, faculty development, and educational presentations in compliance with ACGME requirements for residency faculty. Qualifications
US Citizen Board Certified in Family Medicine Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school, or equivalent foreign degree demonstrated through ECFMG certification. Must hold a permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
