CHI Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time Vascular Neurologist to join its team. This role is vital to a world-renowned comprehensive stroke center specializing in clinical care and acute stroke research. The position builds upon one of the largest and most organized stroke referral networks in the US, offering excellent opportunities for fellowship-trained vascular neurologists interested in high-volume practice at the forefront of vascular neurology. The position involves a 7-on/7-off schedule, with responsibilities shared between acute stroke and general neurology services, emphasizing stroke diagnosis and secondary prevention. Opportunities for involvement in stroke clinical trials are available. CHI Memorial is a comprehensive stroke center with strong neuro hospitalist, neuro interventional, and neurosurgery teams, all within a collaborative Institute of Neuroscience. Participation in telemedicine is expected but not required. Our team has been at the forefront of acute stroke research for over 15 years and is involved in national collaborations. Supported by extensive hospital administration and partnerships with Baylor St Luke’s and the Barrow Neurological Institute, the program is focused on adopting protocols and technologies to optimize patient outcomes. Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in neurology with a fellowship in vascular neurology. Supported by a large team of specialists in stroke neurology, neuroimaging, neurocritical care, neurointervention, neurosurgery, and outpatient neurology. Exceptional research support through the Chattanooga Center for Neurologic Research, involved in acute stroke research including AI, device, stem cell, and pharmaceutical trials. Funding is available via the Neuroscience Innovation Foundation. Collaborative opportunities with CommonSpirit Health on clinical and research protocols nationally.
