Utilities Engineer What you will do Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will report to the Sr Manager of the ARI Facilities & Engineering Utilities engineering group. The position is related to system ownership of the utilities systems at ARI. The engineer is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, compliant, effective, efficient, and cost appropriate utility operations at ARI. It is also responsible for meeting Amgen's 2027 sustainability commitments. Apply basic engineering principles and practices in support of daily operation and maintenance activities for site utility systems Understand and enforce GMPs, safety, and environmental regulations Develop and own Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other engineering & operations related Quality documents for the department Identify and implement improvement opportunities Provide troubleshooting support on and off the floor Assist in audits and regulatory inspections Proactively organize, analyze, and effectively communicate results Provide engineering support for design, construction, startup, commissioning and qualification of new or modified systems Work closely with multiple teams, including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Process Development, and Validation regarding utility operations & maintenance activities and strategies Collaborate with Facilities & Engineering peers within the Amgen network Own and support Deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls. Own and support INCA investigations and CAPAs. Support Amgen's 2027 sustainability commitments. Drive small projects. Provide contractor oversight. Basic Qualifications: High school/GED + 4 years work experience OR Associate's + 2 years work experience OR Bachelor's + 6 months work experience Master's Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a utilities' plant within industry. Experience supporting sustainability efforts. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of basic engineering principles, methods and practices. Basic understanding of cGMPs as applied to biotechnology products.
