Position Overview The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is actively recruiting a dynamic and experienced Chief of Plastic Surgery to lead our surgical team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to Veterans.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and expand plastic surgery services at one of the largest VA systems in the Southeast, located in Bay Pines, Florida, near St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay.
Position Summary The Chief of Plastic Surgery will oversee clinical and administrative aspects of the Plastic Surgery Section, including surgical care, resident education, quality initiatives, and collaboration with medical center leadership.
Core Responsibilities
Provide a full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive procedures.
Supervise and support plastic surgery staff and trainees.
Champion quality improvement, patient safety, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and academic affiliates.
Contribute to strategic planning and program development.
