Job Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite all credit requests, including new and existing portfolios.
2. Recommend credit structures considering quality and profitability within assigned geographies.
3. Ensure adherence to risk philosophy, risk appetite, and lending strategies while maintaining client responsiveness.
4. Analyze financial statements and navigate various financial structures and credit scenarios.
5. Execute commercial lending activities according to Truist's policies and procedures.
6. Build effective relationships with Risk Management and client managers.
7. Support the commercial lending process through underwriting, policy knowledge, credit structuring, and risk assessment.
8. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and thorough documentation of credit packages.
9. Interact with clients regarding pending loan requests or portfolio management actions.
10. Understand and articulate all Truist Wholesale Credit policies, procedures, and processes.
11. Recommend credit within the Bank's risk appetite and document exceptions.
12. Recommend ongoing servicing, including covenants.
13. Possibly require specialized underwriting skills for various product offerings.
14. Exercise prudent credit judgment within individual loan authority, if applicable.
15. Stay informed about business and economic developments impacting the portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years of commercial lending and/or credit experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, and regulation.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: Master's degree, RMA - Credit Risk Certification, proficiency in commercial lending systems.
