: Job Title: Posit Connect Platform Engineer & Application Developer Job Type: Contract (6 months) Job Location: Remote Work Schedule: Remote Need someone with posit connect admin skills + R or Python programming knowledge for making the dashboards. We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Posit Connect Platform Engineer & Application Developer. This dual-role position is crucial for bridging the gap between data science innovation and its secure, scalable deployment within our enterprise. You will be responsible for both maintaining our robust Posit Connect infrastructure and developing cutting-edge, interactive data applications that empower our users and drive data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities Platform Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain the Posit suite (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager) Manage user access, roles, and server settings for Posit Connect Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, security, and system integration Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues
Application Development:
Design and deploy interactive R/Python applications and dashboards (Shiny, Dash, Streamlit) Build and maintain data pipelines for processing and visualizing large datasets Automate reports and optimize application performance for scalability Write clean, testable code and collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders
Qualifications: Proficiency in R and Python, with strong experience in R Shiny and/or Python web frameworks Hands-on experience administering Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with SQL, data manipulation, and visualization tools Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices Strong problem-solving and communication skills Company DescriptionSince 2002 Maxonic has been at the forefront of connecting candidate strengths to client challenges.
