RLD Associates, Inc. has an opening for a full-time, home-based premium auditor. As a premium auditor, you will work independently in the field, meeting with various businesses to conduct insurance premium audits. The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured’s business type and the associated premium. Job Description
RLD Associates, Inc. has an opening for a full-time, home-based premium auditor. As a premium auditor, you will work independently in the field, meeting with various businesses to conduct insurance premium audits. The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured’s business type and the associated premium.
In this position, you will be responsible for Boston, MA and surrounding areas - note: Travel is primarily within the I-95 corridor, with some needed to the south & west of I-95. Travel within the Boston metro area will be required. Travel should be expected 3 to 4 days per week.
The right person for this role will:
Review audit requests. Prioritize inventory and schedule workload. Make contact with the named insured to schedule appointments to travel to business to conduct on-site interviews and examine records. Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications to comply with insurance industry standards. Prepare written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classifications.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Ability to work independently. Must be dependable and self-motivated. Excellent communication skills Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel Pleasant, yet professional personality A two-year degree in accounting or related subject is preferred. Experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation considered, as well as commercial insurance expertise. Reliable transportation when travel is necessary.
