The Principal Technical Program Manager will be responsible for the execution of critical programs for AI/ML work-stream within ORBIT team for Last Mile Business. ORBIT team's vision is to be the most trusted strategic and analytics partner for our stakeholder teams. The Principal Technical Program Manager will orchestrate AIML program across multiple teams within Last Mile Space for NA, EU and JP region. This is a TPM of TPMs role, where the interaction isn't with a single technical team, instead they will deliver results across multiple L8 teams, and in partnership with several partner teams. Key job responsibilities include: Define and deliver critical AIML programs across multiple teams within Last Mile business. Build and align leaders across various analytics team towards the end vision of AIML integration in the analytics space. Standup mechanisms to track and communicate progress towards delivery dates. Effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, they should be able to represent complex decisions, trade-offs and solutions in various forums. Identify and resolve roadblocks and conflicts that originate during program execution. Partner with Data Engineer, Product Managers, Program Managers, Science, Business Intelligence Engineering teams and Planning/Execution business teams to resolve issues. Build relationships and manage by influence in a matrix organization to solve complex AI problems with tight timelines. Define and execute Technical Program Management best practices across the different Data, Science and engineering teams to help raise the bar on the execution of our team. Manage a queue of customer facing issues and feature requests to improve the new functionalities of AIML Analytic Products. A day in the life involves driving alignment on vision and execution plans that span multiple internal and external teams. Prepare and present schedule, risks and roadmap status. Drive clarity on ongoing roadblocks and misalignment and collaborate with the cross functional teams on mitigations. About the team: WW AMZL BIA (ORBIT) team supports AMZL Planning and Execution Organization for their Analytical needs and WW Metric Parity across NA, EU and Japan regions. Providing Actionable Insights (Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive) is critical in today's world where there is abundance of metrics and data available. Basic qualifications: 10+ years of engineering experience. 7+ years of technical product or program management experience. 5+ years of software development experience. Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules. Preferred qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
