We seek an energetic, organized, experienced Principal UX Designer to join our growing team. What You Will Do
The Principal UX Designer will enhance customer engagement with our vehicle programs through clear concepts and workflows. You should have a proven record of leading impactful UX projects in disruptive, ambiguous environments. You will help define how users interact with Slate products and establish UX processes to ensure ease of use and consistency across all platforms. Responsibilities
Participate in UX strategy, planning, and reviews. Advise stakeholders on user-centric approaches, applying UX methodologies to inform design decisions. Build relationships with teams in Brand, Design, HMI, Engineering, and Software. Balance strategic and tactical initiatives to address critical user needs. Communicate insights and UX recommendations effectively to executive stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in UX Design, HMI, Communications, or related field. 10+ years of professional experience leading impactful UX projects. Expertise in interface design, evaluation, and a range of UX methodologies. Passion for emerging technologies and new interaction models. Strategic thinker and collaborator comfortable in ambiguous environments. Proactive in engaging teammates and initiating projects. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Skilled in UX tools like Figma. Deep understanding of accessibility and inclusivity in UX. Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in UX Design, HMI, or related field. Experience in automotive or consumer electronics industries. Experience working within an agile development environment. Why Join Slate
