This role offers a unique opportunity to work across R&D, pilot plant design, and hands-on implementation, supporting both food and emerging chemical industry clients. Approximately 60% of the role focuses on in-house innovation and process design, 20% involves working directly with technicians on the floor, and 20% is dedicated to setting up and analyzing experiments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new processes and equipment using CFD tools (FLUENT or COMSOL) and apply modeling to support design decisions.
Create detailed CAD diagrams and technical documentation for internal teams and outside fabricators.
Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and technicians on design execution and implementation.
Translate in-house ideas and client requests into technical solutions and pilot plant recommendations.
Support lab and pilot-scale testing, including experimental design and troubleshooting.
Spend time on the production floor supporting installation, scale-up, and validation of new systems.
Contribute to production support activities and technology transfer from R&D to full-scale operations.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Physics, etc.).
U.S. or Permanent (required).
Minimum 4 years of experience with CFD modeling and experimental design in a manufacturing or lab setting.
Hands-on experience with FLUENT or COMSOL for computational fluid modeling.
Proficiency in CAD.
Strong knowledge of heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics, and equipment specification.
Experience installing and commissioning equipment in lab or production environments.
Qualifications:
Experience with drying technologies or powder processing.
Background in rheology, molecular dynamics, or molecular force interactions.
Familiarity with Siemens Culgi or similar molecular modeling tools.
Knowledge of molecular interaction techniques to improve product stability and flow.
Benefits
