Job Purpose
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll focus on mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, including corrugators, die-cutters, and related equipment, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your expertise in troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems will maintain plant efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, including corrugators, die-cutters, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, to ensure operational reliability.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Install and repair machinery components, such as water, air, and hydraulic piping/tubing, diagnosing issues and making adjustments.
- Adhere to Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Hazard Evaluation Control Procedures (HECPs) for all machine centers.
- Support general facility maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and welding, as needed to maintain plant infrastructure.
- Assist production teams with supervisor approval to ensure seamless operations.
- Rebuild machinery sub-components and perform facility repairs to support production goals.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and manage work orders.
- 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or military settings.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and machinery component repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS or similar maintenance tracking software.
- Preferred: Experience in a corrugated box plant, paper industry, or with flexographic/die-cutting equipment.
- Preferred: Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, or VFDs as a secondary skill.
- Preferred: Maintenance-related certifications (e.g., Millwright, Industrial Maintenance Technician).
- Valid driver's license and ability to work 3rd shift (8 hours) with possible weekend overtime.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Perform tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in industrial environments.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., wrenches, pressure gauges).
- Work 3rd shift (8 hours) with occasional weekend overtime when required.
