JOB PURPOSE
The Meals on Wheels Program Manager leads the daily operations of the Meals on Wheels program, ensuring timely, safe, and compassionate meal delivery to homebound clients. This role oversees routing, staff and volunteer supervision, client data management, and compliance with safety standards. The Manager collaborates with internal teams and community partners to enhance service delivery and support The Just One Project's mission of equitable food access.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Route Management
Develop and optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timeliness.
Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for drivers and volunteers.
Update route maps and instructions as needed due to client changes or geography.
Data Management
Maintain accurate client records in Salesforce or other CRM systems.
Track delivery data for reporting, quality assurance, and compliance purposes.
Generate internal and external reports (e.g., for funders and stakeholders).
Inventory Management
Conduct regular inventory audits of meals and packaging materials.
Manage storage areas to minimize spoilage and waste.
Collaborate with vendors and staff for meal packaging and fulfillment needs.
Client Service and Communication
Coordinate with case managers or social service providers regarding client needs.
Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, service changes, and concerns.
Ensure compassionate, timely, and respectful service to all clients.
Compliance and Safety
Monitor adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
Implement and update safety protocols in alignment with agency and public health policies.
Prepare for and respond to emergencies (e.g., inclement weather, equipment failure).
Administrative and Financial Duties
Assist with creating and updating program policies and operational SOPs.
Collaborate with the development team on donor recognition and reporting.
Support budget monitoring through data entry and expense tracking.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
Represent the program at outreach events and community forums.
Maintain relationships with senior centers, healthcare providers, and referral partners.
Coordinate with local agencies to identify eligible clients and expand reach.
Other Duties
Perform any other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

3+ years of experience in nonprofit organizations
(required).
3+ years of professional leadership experience, including direct management of staff.
(required)
3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or program management, preferably within a nonprofit, food security, or social services setting
(required) .
Bilingual in Spanish

Experience using client management databases (e.g., Salesforce) and handling sensitive or confidential client data.
Familiarity with food safety standards, transportation logistics, or senior nutrition services

Technologically proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Google Meet), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and client management platforms such as Salesforce.
Maintains high ethical standards with strict adherence to confidentiality and data integrity requirements.
Effective at building and maintaining community partnerships and representing the organization at public-facing events.
Resilient and composed under pressure, with demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergencies, crises, or service disruptions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must attend six mandatory 'Pop Up & Give' events per year
Must possess valid unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handlers Card
