Overview
Oversee all program components, including staff training and development; client assessment, service plan development, and progress; relationships with community-based organizations; and specific program components. Provide direct supervision to SNAP-Ed staff members. Recruit, train, and supervise assistant directors, coordinators, and direct service staff. Administer personnel policies and procedures. Develop communication with SNAP-Ed contract managers; act as liaison with NYS OTDA. Ensure all programs meet contractual goals and reporting requirements. Monitor program progress and submit reports to NYS OTDA. Submit internal progress reports to Vice President/Assistant Executive Director and/or Executive Director regularly. Develop budgets and coordinate with fiscal staff to ensure timely payment collection. Monitor fiscal expenses and analyze monthly fiscal reports. Prepare proposals for program development, expansion, and continuation. Hold regular supervision and group meetings with staff. Act as a liaison between administrative, fiscal, and program staff. Monitor staff performance through case reviews and observations. Participate in agency events and encourage staff involvement. Engage with the community and local districts. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Director. Qualifications
Masters Degree in Nutrition, Community Health, Public Health, or related field. At least five years of experience in implementing nutrition education programs; experience with SNAP-Ed preferred. Two years of supervisory and contract management experience. Knowledge of farmers markets, regional food systems, and community food security issues in NYC. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business technologies. Teamwork experience and cultural awareness in diverse communities. Physical Requirements
Prolonged computer use. Lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally. Standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods. Climbing stairs for home visits or fieldwork. Bending and retrieving objects/documents. Travel within NYC boroughs and adjacent counties via public transportation. Traveling for at least 1 mile in various weather conditions for fieldwork.
