Overview
The Project Manager will lead and oversee digitalization projects of small to medium complexity as part of the continuous improvement of our pharmaceutical unit. The role involves managing project timelines, resources, and budgets, as well as serving as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide in-depth knowledge and guidance. This dual role requires a blend of project management expertise and technical or pharmaceutical industry know-how.
Responsibilities
Plan, initiate, and execute digitalization/transformation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
Monitor and manage project progress, resolving potential risks and issues.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
Foster collaboration among stakeholders to align project deliverables with organizational goals.
Provide specialized knowledge relevant to digitalization in the pharmaceutical sector, such as electronic batch records and automation.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and operational staff.
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct testing to validate solutions.
Provide training and knowledge transfer on new systems and processes.
Provide first-level support for troubleshooting of the productive system.
Ensure compliance with company policies related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.
Management and supervision:
Manage, mentor, and coach 4 or more employees, with hiring, firing, and performance decision authority.
Manage, mentor, and coach fewer than 3 employees, with decision authority.
Manage, mentor, and coach other employees without decision authority.
Do not manage other employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including IT implementation projects and working in a production environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
Experience with systems like MES, LIMS, or ERP.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP regulations, and digital transformation strategies.
Understanding of business process design, Industry 4.0, CSV, and GAMP.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams, with flexibility and organizational skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of German or other languages is an advantage.
